SPCC is seeking full-time Coordinator for the Vendor Management Agency (VMA).  VMA manages contracts with Women, Infants, and Children’s Program (WIC) vendors throughout a 17 county area.

TITLE:  VMA Coordinator

STARTING SALARY RANGE: $38,000 - $45,000

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for day-to-day oversight of the vendor management component of the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.  Processes new vendor applications, maintains files, and provides ongoing support to vendors and local WIC agencies.  Trains, supervises, and evaluates the performance of staff.  Represents program and agency interests in the community.  Position requires travel throughout a 17 county area in western New York.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years’ professional experience that demonstrates administrative ability with at least one year of supervisory experience.  Must possess strong leadership skills.  Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.  Must possess own vehicle, valid NYS driver’s license and agency-required levels of automobile liability insurance coverage.  Pre-employment PPD testing for tuberculosis required.  Must complete Confidentiality Agreement and State Central Register Clearance Form.

PART-TIME POSITION AVAILABLE

TITLE:                                  After-School Program Youth Counselor at James P. B. Duffy School No. 12

ACCOUNTABILITY:         Reports to After-School Program Manager

JOB SUMMARY:                This position provides Program participants in grades Kindergarten through Sixth with cultural, educational and recreational after-school activities reflective of the Search Institute Youth Assets and Competencies.  The duties of this position will be:  to provide daily instruction, assessment and referrals as needed; develop and maintain positive,  open communication with the program participants, day school staff, and families;  provide daily cultural, educational, science and recreational enrichment activities; provide homework and test preparation assistance; assist with dinner, dismissal procedures and clean-up; complete all necessary paperwork related to the position; ensure the quality standards of SPCC, the program's funders and school officials are met.

HOURS:                     Up to 16 hours per week during school year
Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri: 2:00-5:00pm and Wed: 1:00-5:00pm

                                     *Once a month Wed: 1:00-6:00pm

SALARY RANGE:                 $9.00 per hour.

QUALIFICATIONS:           An associate's degree in human services or a related field, or significant experience working with children, families and community resources.  Must be familiar with child development and possess group facilitation skills.  Able to interact well with children and parents, school and agency personnel, volunteers, referral sources and the public; excellent communication skills are required. Conduct continuous upgrading of professionalism by attending monthly staff meetings, workshops and seminars.  Applicant will complete Agency Confidentiality Agreement, Medical Clearance, State Central Register Clearance Form, Criminal History Review, NYSOCFS fingerprinting and mandated training, plus regular PPD testing for tuberculosis.
