TITLE: Visitation Specialist, Supervised Visitation/Exchange Program
ACCOUNTABILITY: Reports to Program Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for coordinating all aspects of assigned cases in the Supervised Visitation and Supervised Exchange Program, i.e., conducting pre-visit orientations with participating parties, scheduling visits, supervising visits and exchanges, preparing visitation notes and Court reports, maintaining case files, safety planning, etc., for families impacted by intimate partner violence and stalking. Provide referrals, advocacy and case management. Provide direct supervision of volunteers and interns. Perform other related duties as required. Hours will include evenings and Sundays.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, e.g., psychology, sociology and/or counseling with a minimum of two years’ experience working with children and families. Experience working with families impacted by intimate partner violence preferred. Applicant must be able to relate well to individuals with varied socio-economic backgrounds. The applicant will conduct continuous upgrading of professionalism by attending available workshops and seminars. Excellent verbal and written skills are required for this position.
