SPCC is seeking a full-time Bilingual (English/Spanish) Nutrition Assistant in the WIC Program. The program is based in Canandaigua and Newark and serves Ontario, Wayne, Yates, Seneca and Eastern Monroe Counties.

TITLE: WIC Bilingual Nutrition Assistant
ACCOUNTABILITY: Reports to WIC Senior Nutritionist

JOB SUMMARY: Screens WIC applicants for program eligibility. Inputs financial, categorical and residential data into the statewide computer system. Assists Nutritionist with WIC certification and nutrition education appointments. Performs anthropometric measurements and hematology screening on WIC participants. Travel throughout the five-county area required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Fluent in both English and Spanish. Associates degree in human services or related field preferred. High school graduate with experience in human services required. Must be able to demonstrate good customer service and communication skills. Applicant must be comfortable working in a fast-paced clinic environment. The selected candidate will be expected to continuously advance his/her professional knowledge and skills by attending relevant workshops and seminars.

Salary range: $15-$16 per hour
