The services are highly individualized and provided in a relationship-based, trauma-informed and culturally responsive manner that highlights a partnership between the staff and the teen parent (s). WIC serves income eligible pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women, infants and children up to age 5.<\/p>\n<p>Participants receive vouchers for healthy foods such as milk, cheese, eggs, whole grain bread\/pasta\/tortillas, cereal, peanut butter, dried or canned beans\/peas, baby foods, fruits, vegetables and more. WIC also provides infant formula for those babies who are not breastfed. During the summer, families enrolled in WIC are eligible to receive $24 worth of Farmer\u2019s Market Checks. Highly trained Family Support Specialists provide, Home visitation (starting weekly), Developmental Assessments (ASQ), PAT (Parents as Teachers Curriculum), Family goal setting and connections to support services. The program is an affiliate of\u00a0Healthy Families New York\u00a0and\u00a0Healthy Families America.<\/p>\n<p>We partner with parents to build a community of happy, healthy, safe and smart children ready for school.
