SPCC WIC

Our Mission:
The SPCC WIC Program provides eligible families with a variety of nutritious foods, client-centered nutrition education and breastfeeding support along with referrals to community resources to promote and enhance good health.
– WIC provides nutrition education and counseling from trained nutritionists, dietitians, and support staff to eligible families in Eastern Monroe, Wayne, Yates, Seneca, and Ontario counties.
– Breastfeeding support is available from trained Breastfeeding Peer Counselors, with support offered 24 hours a day.
– Participants receive an eWIC card to purchase a variety of healthy foods, including dairy, whole grains, fruits and vegetables, and more. Food choices have recently expanded, offering more flexibility and additional options to better meet families’ needs and preferences. WIC also provides breastfeeding support and infant formula/foods.
– During the summer, families enrolled in WIC may receive Farmers’ Markets Coupons to purchase locally grown produce at participating markets.
