Leah has always had a passion for health and nutrition, a passion that only grew stronger over time and led her to pursue a career in the field. While attending SUNY Plattsburgh, she was inspired to join WIC by the director of the Nutrition Program, a former WIC employee who spoke highly of the program and its impact. That encouragement—and a shared desire to support families—brought Leah to WIC, where she now serves as a Nutritionist since 2019.
Since joining the team, Leah has found the most rewarding part of her work is “helping the families in our community!” Even on the busiest clinic days, when slow computers present a challenge, her commitment to making a difference never wavers.
Outside of work, Leah enjoys cooking, reading, and exploring a new creative hobby: painting. At home, she’s kept on her toes by her energetic cat, Rosie, who loves climbing curtains, bird-watching, and playfully ambushing Leah’s feet.
